Gabriel Casagrande was born in Francisco Beltrão, Paraná, in southern Brazil on February 20, 1995. He always showed great interest in racing even without his family having a direct connection to the sport.
At the age of 17, he had already competed for Brazil’s kart national title, and his career only intensified from that point. While he was still a teenager, the young driver moved to Europe to race in the Renault Northern European Championship where he won the newcomer of the year award.
Casagrande made his debut in Stock Car Brasil in 2013, taking part in three stages before participating in his first full season in 2014. After three years with the C2 team, he moved to Vogel Motorsport where he was one of the top-10 drivers during the 2017 and 2018 seasons. During that time, Casagrande obtained one victory and four podiums.
As of 2019, he will be representing Voxx Racing as part of a new team led by Willian Lube and Duda Pamplona and will be a teammate of champions Cacá Bueno and Felipe Fraga.
