William Byron found plenty of success in his second season in the NASCAR Cup Series, improving across the board in Hendrick Motorsports’ No. 24.

Working with new crew chief Chad Knaus, Byron started the year by becoming the second-youngest pole-sitter in Daytona 500 history, scored career-best runner-up finishes at Daytona and Martinsville, and made the Cup Playoffs for the first time, advancing to the Round of 12.

He collected five pole awards during the campaign, was involved in seven Hendrick Motorsports front-row sweeps, scored 13 top-10 finishes and led 233 laps.
