Hamilton triumphed in Monaco for the third time in his career, giving Mercedes its sixth straight victory to start the season, while Valtteri Bottas climbed the podium in Monte Carlo for the first time.
“It was a World Champions’ drive for a World Champion that isn’t among us anymore,” Team Principal Toto Wolff said. “It couldn’t have been a more dramatic race.”
Tributes to Lauda were on display throughout the paddock, including special touches on the Mercedes-AMG F1 W10s, as Formula One™ paid homage to the legendary driver on the iconic Monaco Grand Prix stage.
